29 weeks

Friday I was 29 weeks and while I was sitting in the doctors office for a long, cold three hours, I had them schedule our 3D sonogram! It was so amazing! I am very happy that we decided to do it. It was so amazing watching her move around and open and close her mouth and eyes. She was a little stubborn in that she would not move her hand from her face, but she looked so comfy that I didn't care!
I can't even explain how much I already love this little girl!

I have now entered my third trimester and I am getting more and more anxious each day! I am getting really sleepy again, I go to sleep around 8:30 or 9 at night. That is pretty good considering I am up at 5:30. I am not sleeping well, but I have never really been a good sleeper, this time it is just due to being very uncomfortable. Other than that I really can't complain.

Work is beginning to stress me out, only because I am realizing I only have about 10 weeks left of work and I have no idea how to prepare someone to take over my class. I keep getting reassured from everyone at work that I will not even think twice about work when I am gone.

What I have to look forward to this week... our 3d sonogram, finalizing our name choices, and sitting for 3 hours in the doc office to take a glucose test.

Nursery Updates

We have finally begun on the nursery! It is now my favorite room to be in. There is still so much we need to do and so much we need to get, but I am just glad we are seeing progress now! One area that I have covered is the closet! Baby already has 11 pairs of shoes. I have loved every second of baby shopping! It is so easy for me to picture my little baby girl in a nice little cardigan and linen shorts... that's practical right? It is too hard for me to turn down a sale, let alone 65% at Janie and Jack! I even was able to drag Jeff with me last weekend and he just stood their smiling while I held up tiny little outfits. He even picked out a little jumpsuit for her on her casual days! We have also spent a good amount of our time in Ikea. Thank you Jeff and Dad for putting together Baby's dresser and changing table! ( I am sure that is exactly what they wanted to do after a late night out). I am so excited to see everything slowly come together, it will somehow be ready in time!

Last week before I enter my third trimester! Where in the world has time gone? A lot has happened this past week, I will catch you up...

I am slowly starting to get back in the routine of work after a long Christmas break, only to get ready to leave again in less than 3 months! Work has kept me very busy, the kids keep me moving and my mind off all of the things I need to do for baby! I guess that is a good thing, otherwise I would be a lot more stressed out than I already am. We are slowly completing small things for the nursery, although my crib (Christmas present from my parents) is on back order until the end of Feb! I would normally just pick another one and be finished with that, but you have NO idea how difficult it was to find the perfect crib! The sad thing is, is that it was so simple. All I wanted was a white crib with nothing fancy. Just a plain.white.regular crib! It took LOTS of searching but I finally found one that was great and not $1000. Seriously, people pay a thousand dollars for a crib! Anyways... Sunday was a blast, we went down to our favorite spot... this little place called j.black ( pssst, I know the owners) and celebrated Elvis's birthday with good music and yummy fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches . All in all, it was a great week and I am still feeling pretty good! I really can't complain about little things, because I know how lucky I am that things have gone so smooth so far! Besides being completely exhausted and falling asleep by 9pm each night, I am still enjoying every minute!

Welcome 2012!

We have so much to be thankful for this past year, and so much more to look forward to to for 2012 and beyond. It is such an amazing feeling knowing this year we will be blessed with our sweet baby girl! Our lives will be changed forever and we couldn't ask for anything more!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I know we did! Jeff and I flew up to Lubbock to spend Christmas with Jeff's family! We had a great time relaxing, enjoying lots of good food and spending time with family! The following week my sister and I were able to spend some quality time with our grandmother in from Chicago. We had such a good time catching up with a day of shopping! My parents came in town for the last week and New Years. The goal was to get started on some much needed nursery help! It took a while, mostly because it takes me a while to make decisions, but by the end of it all there was progress! The furniture is picked and the crib is on it's way! One thing that has made the most progress is definitely her closet! I have been in full force baby shopping, it is so fun to find tiny baby clothes! At least she will be well dressed.

We are looking forward to all the new adventures to come this new year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Merry Christmas

                                                                 Happy New Year!

Week 25 & 26

Christmas came a went too fast as always, but I feel like this year it was especially quick. Each week is going fast and faster, and I am growing bigger and bigger! :)

The last two weeks I have felt Baby girl moving all over the place! They are no longer little bubbles popping in my belly, but full blown punches and full body movements! It is such an amazing feeling and experience each time I feel her little body moving around! Jeff catches me cracking myself up because I will just lay in bed really still and wait for her to move, I find it very humorous.

I am also finding some obstacles I am dealing with lately... such as getting dressed. Yes, it is getting harder to bend over and put on socks, shoes, pretty much anything that requires my feet and legs to go into. But the biggest problem I am running into each and every day is finding something to wear and feeling semi good about myself. Yes, it would be very easy to wear leggings and and a t shirt each day, but come on, you know me and that just isn't gonna cut it! I feel like with a preggo belly there are so many cute ways to wear clothes, but when it comes to actually attempting it, you feel like nothing looks good. One thing I am still very pleased with is that I am able to still wear heels... I know it may sound silly, but at least I can still fit into something that makes me feel a little better about myself. Let's face it, we know it will not be too much longer till I am putting those away with the rest of my normal wardrobe.

It is hard to believe that I am coming up on the end of my 2nd trimester! WOW! Only 3 months left till we get to meet out baby girl! Hopefully by then she will have a name! We are still in the process of searching for the perfect name, I never thought it would be this hard, but we will know when we find the right one! I am pretty proud of myself for not getting too stressed out... at least not yet! I am beginning to start thinking of everything that we have not done, which is well almost everything! Jeff always seems to reassure me that somehow it will all come together and I know it will.
